Tyne & Fear
Tyne & Fear Roller Derby exists to make roller derby genuinely accessible in Newcastle upon Tyne — for skaters, officials, and fans alike, regardless of experience, background, or how fast you can currently stop.
What We Do
We train twice a week, bout across the regional league calendar, and run regular Fresh Meat intakes for anyone who wants to start skating from scratch. Off track, the club runs on volunteers: coaches, officials, fundraising organisers, and committee members who keep the whole thing running.
Our Values
- Mixed league — skaters of any gender, on one team.
- No experience required to start; full loaner gear for Fresh Meat.
- Community-run, not-for-profit, funded by bout tickets and fundraisers.
